Coleman vs. Franken, Supreme Court Absentee Case
Listening to the case, and one of the judges just said (paraphrase): “If both parties agree that the votes are valid, why in the world would we ask a voter who did everything they were suppose to correctly to be asked to be challenged in court”
Another justice stated “if these votes are legite, and we all agree that, then why would follow the law to such specifics that it could unjustly throw out votes. We need to follow the intent of the law and break regulation at discretion”
